IGB’s plans to have a greyhound industry without greyhounds seems to be moving along at a steady pace. It is worth noting that this used to be confined to pups but overage pups have been allowed in for a few years. The IGB has actually had to abandon all puppy events as the declining numbers made them impossible to fill.

Tommy Lyons finally seems to be acknowledging the seriousness of the dilemma facing the Irish greyhound industry. His plea for someone to stand up for the industry is interesting, do we not have a board who are supposed to be doing this? Is Tommy suggesting that the Board has failed the industry?
